My screen is all white

Currently, Lix is only available for Windows, Linux and Mac. You can download the app here.
What happens to my books and notes when my subscription ends?
If you decide to cancel your subscription, we won’t delete your books and notes. They’ll simply be deactivated, in case you decide to reactivate your subscription. You can still access your notes via the Lix website: Login to Lix. Go to “My books.” Select “Notes” underneath the book you wish to see your notes from.
Can I return a book?
You have the right to a full refund within the first 14 days after making a purchase. However, if you've opened a book, you're right to a full refund is cancelled. Therefore, it's important to only open the books you need. Issues with Courseware (MyLab, MyMath, MyEconLab, etc.)
Missing courseware If you cannot find your code for courseware, try checking your email. We will send the code via email to the account you provided when signing up with Lix. The course ID is created by your teacher and is often available on your course site on the LMS (Blackboard etc.) of your university. My books have disappeared
Some users have experienced that their books have disappeared. The solution to this problem (99 % of the time) is to make sure that the account you’re currently logged into is the account you used when purchasing your subscription with Lix. How do I update Lix?
Mac Click on "Lix" and then "Check for Updates" Windows Press (alt) and a menu bar will appear in the top of the window. Click on "File" and then "Check for Updates" Don't worry - All of your notes and highlights will still be there after you've reset the
Where is Lix available?
Currently, the Lix subscription is available in select locations within Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland, but we're continuously expanding to cover more schools and programs! "Payment country is XX and items are XX"
"Payment country is XX and items are XX" is an error message you receive, when you try to complete a purchase with a payment card that is issued in a different country, than the country shown in your profile settings. To fix this, simply follow steps: Remove all books from your cart Go to profile settings and change your country to the same as the one where your payment card has been issued Find the books you are interested in again, and complete the purchase 😃 Lix accepts
Can I use another program to read my books?
The books that are part of your subscription are only available for reading in the Lix app. If you haven't downloaded the app yet, you can do so here. We are always eager to hear your feedback on the app, so feel free to reach out to us at email@example.com. Or, send us a message in the chat box.
Can I try Lix for free?
Absolutely! We offer a free trial for new users* where you can access all your course material in one place. This way, you can try out the app and access your textbooks. What is the Lix app?
The Lix app is a desktop app that allows you to access your textbooks anytime, anywhere. Within the Lix app, you can take notes, highlight your learning, and search any topic—all in one place. Download and try the Lix app for free here.

Can I get my book to read to me?
Currently, text-to-speech capability is not available in the Lix app. Because Lix books are streamed through the app and aren't in separate file formats, there is no reading service capable of text-to-speech functionality. This is due to copyright regulations. Our dedicated team of developers are currently working hard towards finding a solution!
Can I read offline?
Yes, you just need to download your books before you go offline and they’re all yours. Read more about accessing your books offline here.
Can I use Lix at my exams?
Fear not, as a Lix user, now you can simply switch on “Exam Mode” and your books will follow you into your exam. Exam Mode limits certain functionalities to ensure it complies with your university’s exam rules, making Lix available on your big day. And, not to worry—you’ll still be able to digitally bring your books to the exam and save time by searching for any concept, equation or reference you need. Once Exam Mode is enabled, the Lix app will go offline. So, make sure to download your book
What content do I get access to in my subscription?
Our goal is to ensure you'll always have everything needed to succeed in your studies in one place. That's why we're only available at universities where we have access to all materials necessary for your course. Additionally, we'll try to access the necessary courseware (e.g., MyLab, MyMath, etc.) if it's part of your curriculum. Occasionally, there are some compendia or services that we simply can't access. Can I cancel at anytime?
Of course! Simply head on over to How to cancel your subscription. Your books and courseware will be deactivated after you cancel your subscription, but you can always access them again by reactivating your account. And, of course we won’t delete your notes! How long does the subscription last?
Your semester books will automatically be added to your Lix account at the start of your semester and your subscription lasts as long as you keep it active. Additionally, you’ll be able to access all books from your previous semester. At the end of each month, your subscription will renew automatically. Will I still have my books if I uninstall Lix?
Yes, all you need to do is reinstall the Lix app and login to your account. If you had any books downloaded on your device, simply download them again to access them in offline mode. Can I import external books or files?
Currently, it is not possible to import external books or files into the Lix app. However, we are currently working on a solution to import all external books into the app.
I can’t sign in with Facebook?
Try the following: Restart your browser and the Lix app for desktop. Open Facebook in your browser and sign in. Open a new tab and go to www.lix.com and sign in with your Facebook credentials. Open your Lix desktop app and click "Sign in with Facebook." Alternatively, you can type in the email you've used to create your Facebook account here. Then, we'll email you so you can create a new password to use when signin
How do I know you’re offering the right books?
If you’re unsure whether Lix offers the right books for your course, simply check the ISBN or eISBN numbers listed on your syllabus. This way, you can easily verify if the numbers match the ones listed on your syllabus. See the example below.
Can I buy physical books in Lix?
No, we only offer digital books. At Lix, we strive to make studying accessible anytime, anywhere, even offline. This way, you’ll save money, save time, and save trees!
